A Twenty-Year Pact: Old Friends Gather in Shanghai
On the evening of 27 October, clients, partners, Lusheng partners, as well as former colleagues of Lusheng gathered together at the rooftop of The Shanghai EDITION on the Bund to jointly celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Lusheng’s establishment.
For many, this was not only an anniversary celebration, but also a rare reunion—there were clients who have journeyed together with Lusheng for many years, Lusheng colleagues and strategic partners who have worked side by side, as well as former colleagues who once fought together in the same team and are now each excelling in their own paths.
Everyone raised their glasses in celebration, reminiscing about friendships, sharing stories and exchanging insights in a relaxed and warm atmosphere, jointly celebrating this milestone moment that belongs to all who have travelled this road together.
Twenty Years Together: Gratitude to Every Companion Along the Way
At the beginning of the reception, Director of Lusheng Law Firm, Landy Jiang, and Director of the Shanghai Office, Carol Wang, jointly reviewed Lusheng’s twenty-year journey.

Twenty years ago, Lusheng set sail in Beijing. These twenty years coincided with a period of rapid development in China’s intellectual property industry. Lusheng has not only been a witness to the development of the industry, but has also had the privilege of accompanying numerous clients along the way, jointly meeting challenges and seizing opportunities.
From a small team of only a few people at the outset to the current development pattern covering Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and connecting the world through the Rouse global network, Lusheng has consistently accompanied clients and partners, safeguarding their brand value and innovation achievements at different stages of their development.
Along the way, what Lusheng has gained is not only experience and achievements, but also the trust of clients and partners, as well as precious friendships and long-term partnerships.
Looking back on the past twenty years, the achievements are worth remembering, but what is most precious are the people who have journeyed together.
Rooted in China, Connected to the World
Subsequently, as Lusheng’s long-standing strategic partners, Luke Minford, Chief Executive Officer of Rouse, and Hatty Cui, General Manager of Rouse China, extended their sincere congratulations on Lusheng’s twentieth anniversary and reviewed the twenty years of cooperation between the two sides.

Over the past twenty years, Lusheng and Rouse have maintained close cooperation under the “One Team” philosophy, accompanying foreign-invested enterprises entering China and protecting their intellectual property and brand value in China, while also assisting Chinese enterprises in going global by providing them with professional support across jurisdictions.
From the early days when foreign-invested enterprises entered and deeply cultivated the Chinese market, to the present when more and more Chinese enterprises are stepping onto the international stage, the two sides have jointly witnessed and promoted the growth of enterprises at both ends at different stages, and look forward to continuing to work together in the next twenty years to create more value.
Staying True to Our Original Aspiration, Moving Forward into the Future
At the conclusion of the speeches, Founding Partner of Lusheng, August Zhang, and Senior Partner, Sharon Qiao, shared their reflections from a more personal perspective.

Over the past twenty years, the industry environment has been constantly changing, but adherence to professional excellence, emphasis on client value, and investment in talent and team development have always been the core principles most cherished by Lusheng.
Standing at this new starting point of the twentieth anniversary, they also expressed their expectations for the future: to maintain their original aspiration and passion, to innovate while inheriting, to remain steadfast while growing, and to work together with clients, partners and the team to write the story of the next twenty years.
As was said in the sharing that evening: the twentieth anniversary is a milestone, and even more so a new departure.
20 Years Together
The most unforgettable part of the evening was not only the sharing on stage—
It was the familiarity and joy of meeting long-standing clients and old friends again; the blessings and companionship from those who travelled specially across regions and time zones; the lively conversations among colleagues and former colleagues from different offices reuniting after a long time; and the deepened camaraderie forged by this gathering.
Over the past twenty years, many people have accompanied Lusheng for part of the journey, and many others have remained companions all the way to this day. It is precisely these precious encounters, trust and friendships that together constitute the story of Lusheng’s twenty years.
Twenty years record the course of Lusheng’s development; they also record the people and stories along the way.
