On June 24, under the guidance of the Yunfu Municipal Administration for Market Regulation and hosted by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Mediation Center, the “2026 Yunfu Municipal Enterprise Trade Secret Management and Protection Business Training and Special Seminar on Trade Secret Protection” was successfully held. Representatives of the Yunfu Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, local enterprises and industry associations, as well as other participating guests attended the event. Hou Heng, Director of the Guangzhou Branch of Lusheng Law Firm, was invited to deliver a special training session on “Interpretation of New Regulations on Trade Secrets and Practical Corporate Risk Prevention and Control”, providing in-depth analysis focusing on highlights of the new regulations, corporate risk management and rights protection strategies.

With the Provisions on the Protection of Trade Secrets (Order No. 126 of the State Administration for Market Regulation) having officially come into force on June 1 this year, the new regulations further refine the rules on trade secret protection and put forward clearer and more systematic requirements for the identification of corporate trade secrets, administrative enforcement, risk prevention and control, and avenues for rights protection.
As a mediator of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Mediation Center, Attorney Hou provided a systematic interpretation of key knowledge points such as the criteria for defining trade secrets, the scope of confidential information, the determination of infringing acts, standards for evidence collection, and legal liability. At the same time, from the perspective of practical corporate operations, he shared experience in full-process management of trade secrets. Focusing on key segments including confidentiality agreements and internal confidentiality management, technical confidentiality control, confidentiality review in external cooperation, and regular self-inspection and rectification, he conveyed replicable methods for trade secret protection and management systems, thereby addressing the practical difficulties enterprises face in daily confidentiality management, namely “not knowing how to manage, managing without sufficient detail, and managing without full coverage.”
